Lower Clark Fork Tributaries Sediment TMDLs

Sediment TMDLs have been completed for the following tributaries of the Lower Clark Fork (LCF) River and are shown on the map below:Lower Clark Fork TPA Sediment Map

Bull River

Dry Creek (tributary to Bull River)

Marten Creek

Swamp Creek

White Pine Creek*

A sediment TMDL was also completed for Elk Creek in 1998, and data was collected on Elk Creek during this project (in 2008) for use in a TMDL implementation evaluation. The 2008 data is presented in the LCF tributraries sediment TMDL document, however the document does not contain an evaluation of the 1998 TMDL. The DEQ Watershed Protection Section (TMDL Impementation Group / Nonpoint Source Program) of the Water Quality Planning Bureau will manage the evaluation process. Contact Robert Ray for additional information. See the DEQ TMDL web site to view the 1998 Elk Creek TMDL document.

* A temperature TMDL was completed for White Pine Creek in 2014. See the White Pine Creek TMDL Project page for additional information.

TMDL Document

This project was completed in 2010, and the final, EPA approved "Lower Clark Fork Tributaries Sediment TMDLs and Framework for Water Quality Restoration" document is located on DEQ's Final TMDL Documents webpage.

For a history of the project's progress, see the Lower Clark Fork Tribs TMDL Schedule page.
